The company is a group of sugar manufacturers whose quality management system is certified by SQF 2000, ISO 9001: 2000, and Hazardous Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) accreditations. Sugar produced by the KSL group can be divided into five categories according to their types and levels of purity as follows:
Low Glycemic Index Sugar: Low GI Sugar
Kane’s Low GI sugar derived from 100% natural sugarcane, featuring a glycemic index below 55 and properties that help slow absorption into the bloodstream. It prevents rapid spikes in blood sugar compared to regular sugar, while still delivering the rich, authentic taste of cane sugar. Suitable for all types of food and beverages, it offers a new alternative for health conscious consumers. Marketed under the Kane’s brand through online channels and leading department stores.

Raw Sugar
Raw sugar with a value above 1,500 ICUMSA appears dark brown and contains higher levels of impurities, making it unsuitable for direct consumption. It is transported in bulk form due to its physical characteristics. Before use, this sugar must undergo a refining process to remove impurities and improve purity, allowing it to be transformed into white sugar or refined white sugar for food, beverage, and industrial applications.

VHP Sugar (Very High Polarization Sugar)
This grade of raw sugar is produced through an initial manufacturing process and further improved to achieve a higher purity level than standard raw sugar. With lower levels of impurities, it is suitable for direct human consumption and features a lighter color with a value of approximately 1,000–1,500 ICUMSA, compared to conventional raw sugar.

Natural Brown Sugar
This sugar, with a color value between 1,000 and 2,300 ICUMSA, undergoes minimal processing, allowing it to retain the natural color and aroma of sugarcane. Its distinctive flavor makes it ideal for traditional Thai desserts and dishes that require a unique taste and natural coloration.

White Sugar
This sugar grade has a color value of 46–100 ICUMSA and a polarization of not less than 99.80 degrees. It is commonly consumed by the households and widely used as a raw material in food manufacturing industries that require medium purity sugar.

Refined Sugar

Liquid Sugar
Produced from raw sugar crystals, this product features a color value not exceeding 35 ICUMSA and a concentration of approximately 66.50–68.00%. With its high purity, it is widely used in various industries, particularly in carbonated beverages and energy drinks, to reduce processing steps and production costs.

Molasses
Molasses is a valuable by-product obtained from sugar production. Molasses can be widely used in such biochemistry industries as alcohol and distilling industry, yeast industry, monosodium glutamate industry, animal food industry (where molasses is mixed with cassavas and bagasse), vinegar industry, and soy sauce and seasoning sauce brewing industry.
Bagasse
Bagasse is the fibrous material remaining after the last extraction of juice from sugarcane. Now the company uses burned bagasse as a source of energy for electricity and steam generation used in sugar manufacturing process.
Ethanol
Energy For Automobiles
BBGI Public Company Limited (“BBGI”) was established in October 2017 and consequence of merger between bio-based product business of Khon Kaen Sugar Industry Public Company Limited and bio-based product business of Bangchak Corporation Public Company Limited. This company invests in following entities;
Producing and distributing molasses-based ethanol with 450,000 liters per day, in which BBGI Company Limited holds 99.99% shares.
As a result, BBGI will be a shareholder of the group of companies which are considered Thailand’s largest manufacturer and distributor of biofuel with the total production capacity of 2,000,000 liters per day which consists of 1,000,000 liters per day of ethanol and 1,000,000 liters/day of bio-diesel. Furthermore, the company entered into Preferred Shares Purchase Agreement from Manus Bio Inc., which is incorporated in the United States of America and its business is biotechnology, amounting to USD 25 million. This company will operate as a flagship company for bio-based product business in the future.
Electricity
Energy For Equipment And Machinery
The business has been undertaken by Khon Kaen Sugar Power Plant Co., Ltd who sells electricity and steam to factories within the group as well as selling any excess electricity produced to Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT) and Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA).
The Company currently has a total installed capacity of 340 megawatts per hour (MW/H), generated across 4 power plant branches, as follows:

Bio-Fertilizer
Bio-Fertilizer Energy For Plants
Organic fertilizer derived from filter cake, a by-product of the sugar production process, containing more than 20% organic matter and essential plant nutrients such as nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium. It also contains chitosan, which can inhibit plant disease-causing pathogens, as well as beneficial microorganisms for soil health. It contains no chemical residues and reduces greenhouse gas emissions from chemical fertilizer use in the agricultural sector, promoting sustainable agricultural system development.
